**Obituary for Mrs. Sidney Polk** August 3, 1956 - February 22, 2026With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sidney Polk, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother,cherished friend, and a radiant spirit who touched the lives of many. Sidney left this world on February 22, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.Sidney was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her laughter, kindness, and nurturing spirit were a beacon to all who had the privilege to know her. As we reflect on the life she lived, we celebrate her generous heart and the countless ways she enriched the lives of others.A funeral service to honor Sidney's remarkable journey will be held at the United M.B. Church on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM. (Located at 1118 Hayes Street Laurel Ms 39440) Prior to the service, there will be a public viewing from 12:00 PM, allowing family, friends, and community members to gather together and pay their respects. Following the service, Sidney will be laid to rest at Nora Davis cemetery in Laurel MS where her legacy will continue to inspire all who loved her. As we gather in remembrance, we invite all whose lives have been touched by Sidney to join us in honoring her memory-a celebration of a life well-lived, marked by grace, love, and an indomitable spirit.In this time of sorrow, we also find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with Sidney. Let us hold those dear moments close to our hearts and carry forth the light she brought into our lives.
