Born on December 21, 1941, Shirley lived a life marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to education and empowerment.Shirley was a beloved retired school teacher in the Laurel School District, where she touched the lives of countless students with her wisdom, kindness, and passion for learning. Her impact on her community is undeniable, as she devoted her life to nurturing the minds of future generations.As a proud African American woman, Shirley broke barriers and inspired those around her, proving that determination and perseverance can lead to greatness. She earned her Master's Degree, setting an example for her son, whom she cherished dearly.The life of Shirley Moore will be celebrated with a funeral service at Koinonia Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Interment immediately followed at Nora Davis Cemetery.
