Arthur Louis Johnson, a devoted husband, spiritual leader, and cherished member of the community, who departed this life peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 65. His life was marked by unwavering faith, compassion, and a commitment to serving others, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.Rev. Johnson was born on September 30, 1959, and dedicated his life to the ministry, guiding countless individuals on their spiritual journeys. His warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all who entered his path. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vernesa K. Johnson, whose love and support were a source of strength throughout their life together. Rev.Johnson also survived by many other family members as well as friends.In honor of Rev. Johnson's remarkable life and legacy, the following services will be held: A public viewing will take place on July 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg, MS, where family, friends, and community members will gather to pay their respects. This will be followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, also at the Main Street United Methodist Church, celebrating his life and contributions to the faith community.Following the funeral, Rev. Johnson will be laid to rest in the Leona Community Church Cemetery in Vossburg, MS, during a graveside service scheduled for 5:00 PM on the same day. As we come together to commemorate the life of Rev. Arthur Louis Johnson, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the profound impact he made on our community.
