Pastor Curtis Buck (Walker) Walker Sr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pastor Curtis Walker Sr., who departed this earthly life on April 8, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on September 1, 1929, Pastor Walker dedicated his life to the service of God and his community, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and unwavering commitment to the teachings of Christ.

As a devoted pastor, Pastor Walker Sr. was a beacon of hope for many, guiding countless souls on their spiritual journeys. His enduring passion for ministry and his compassionate spirit touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He will be deeply missed by his beloved son, Curtis Walker Jr., and all who were fortunate to know him.

In honor of his remarkable life and ministry, we invite all friends, family, and community members to join us for a public viewing at Shady Grove M.B. Church on April 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This will be an opportunity to pay respects and celebrate the life of a man who served his God and his community with dignity and grace.

A funeral service will follow on April 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Shady Grove M.B. Church. Pastor Walker's commitment to his faith will be reflected in the tributes and remembrances shared during this solemn gathering.

Rev. Curtis Walker Sr. was the Pastor of St. Mary in Shubuta Ms. and Beaver Meadow in Heidelberg Ms.

After the funeral service, Pastor Curtis Walker Sr. will be laid to rest at the family plot located at 18 County Rd 64, Heidelberg, MS.
