It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Olivia Cheeks-Griffiths, a beloved sister, daughter, and friend, who departed from this world on June 7, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 11, 1952, in Laurel, MS, Olivia was a beacon of strength, joy, and compassion to all those who were fortunate enough to know her.Olivia dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Sales Representative with Aflac in the insurance industry. With her keen understanding of the human experience and an unwavering commitment to her clients, she brought a sense of hope and assurance to many in her community. Her professional accomplishments were matched only by the warmth and kindness she offered to everyone around her.Olivia is survived by her loving mother, Ozella Cheeks, and her cherished sister, Delores Cheeks and so many other relatives and friend. Together they shared many beautiful moments filled with laughter and love, creating lasting memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.A funeral service to honor Olivia's remarkable life will be held on June 21, 2025, at 10:00 am at Koninonia Missionary Baptist Church. Friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a public viewing at the same location at 9:00 am, preceding the service. Following the ceremony, Olivia will be laid to rest at Nora Davis Cemetery, 1635 Eastview Drive, Laurel, MS 39440.During this difficult time, we invite all who knew Olivia to come together in celebration of her life and to share in the love she so freely gave. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.Rest in peace, Olivia Cheeks-Griffiths. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
