Michel Earl Andrews

Michael Andrews of Laurel, Mississippi passed away at his home on Mar 12, 2020. As an Armor Crewman in the United States Army, Michael was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and earned the following badge and service ribbons: .45 Cal. Pistol Expert Badge;, Overseas Service Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon.  We are grateful for his service.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Chapel of Angels Funeral Home.  Interment will be immediately following at Oak Hill #2 Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

Chapel of Angels Funeral Home, in order to protect the families that we serve, the community we love and our staff, will be following the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines for crowds/gatherings.  The CDC reduced the maximum number of people allowed in any crowd or gathering from 50 people, down to 10 people.  Due to the Coronavirus disease/Covid-19, the service was already restricted to immediate family and selected, extended family members only.  Working together with the family, and because of the CDC’s later reduction of crowd size, the viewing prior to the funeral service will also be restricted to immediate family and selected, extended family members. If time allows, visitation may be opened to the public.

  Viewing will be limited to 1, no more than 2 people at a time.  If allowed in to view, the time allowed will also be limited.  Because they will have to be disinfected, all attendees will be asked not to touch any unnecessary surface while inside the chapel.  All attendees will also be expected to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing.  This means you should not be closer than six feet (6ft) to any other person in attendance, there should also be no customary handshaking or hugging.  This is for your safety.  This is for the safety of the family.  This is for the safety of everyone we will all come in contact with once we leave to go our separate ways.  We know these constraints are unpleasant, difficult and sometimes painful to bear.  Please remember, the Coronavirus Disease/ Covid-19 does not care if we understand it; it does not care if we like the conditions we find ourselves in or if we follow the guidelines given, it will try to sicken every person it has the opportunity to infect without discrimination or favor.  Please help us keep this family, our staff, our community and you, as safe as possible.  We thank you all for your cooperation.  If the CDC makes any additional, mandatory changes, we will update this information accordingly.  May God bless, keep and have mercy upon us all.
