Glenda, born on December 31, 1946, embraced life with favor and grace until her peaceful departure on September 20, 2025. She leaves behind a loving legacy.Throughout her life, Glenda lit up the lives of those around her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit. She held a special place in the hearts of many and was known for her compassion and generous spirit. Glenda's laughter and nurturing nature created a sense of belonging for family and friends alike, forming connections that transcended mere acquaintance.The celebration of Glenda's life will take place on September 27, 2025, with a public viewing at Friendship M. B. Church, located at 116 Custom Ave in Laurel, MS, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at the same location, commencing at 2:00 PM. We invite all who knew and loved Glenda to join us as we honor and reflect on her remarkable journey through life, celebrating the memories and the indelible impact she made on all of us. Interment will be immediately followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Laurel Ms. In these moments of grief, let us remember Glenda Gilliam not just for her passing but for the vibrant life she lived-a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others.
