Cecil Leroy Dukes, who departed this life on October 23, 2025, at the age of 77. His spirit, vibrant and unwavering, touched the lives of many and will continue to resonate in our hearts and memories.Born on October 15, 1948, Cecil lived a life rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connections. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, a nurturing family member. With an infectious smile and a spirit that embraced everyone he met, Cecil had an uncanny ability to light up any room. He cherished the simple moments and celebrated the beauty of life with a heart full of joy and kindness.As we prepare to honor his life, we invite all who knew and loved Cecil to join us. A public viewing will take place at Chapel of Angels Funeral Home in Laurel, MS, on November 1, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM. We will gather for a funeral service later that same day, November 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at the Chapel of Angels Funeral Home. This ceremony will serve as a celebration of Cecil's incredible life, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind. Together, we will honor the laughter, the compassion, and the strength that defined him. Interment will be immediately followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Laurel Ms.Cecil Leroy Dukes will remain forever in our hearts-a guiding star in the tapestry of our lives.
