Born December 2, 1954, in Laurel, MS, Barbara Gail Campbell came into the world as the oldest child of Foster Lee Campbell and Eliza Jane Campbell, Barbara quietty departed this lfe and went home lo
be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 13, 2022,
Barbara joined Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church where she played piano for Sunday School. At R. H. Watkins High School, she excelled as a member of the ROTC and girls' basketball team.
Barbara married her high school sweetheart on July 22, 1972. To their union came two children. Barbara attended Jackson State University and studied nursing. She served as a Licensed Practical
Nurse for over 40 years.
Preceding her in death is her grandmother, Emmaline Smith; parents, Foster Lee Campbell and Eliza Jane Campbell; sister, Cassandra Barrett; and nephew, Brandon Campbell.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Arthur Dixon; daughter, Tashalon (Rodney) McDonald; son, Michael (Ashley) Dixon, Sr.; brothers, Foster Campbell, Sr., and Joseph Campbell; sisters, Eunice
(Darwin) Collins and Lessie (S. V.) Bender; granddaughters, Tierra McDonald, Madison Dixon, and Melanie Dixon; grandsons, Benjamin
Thomas, Michael Dixon, Jr, and Matthew Dixon; three great- grandchildren, Bryson Thomas, Braeden Thomas, and All'Hana Thomas; godson, Jarrett Ford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barbara will be greatly missed by all. Her memory will forever live in our thoughts and hearts,
